Lamar Jackson throws at Baltimore Ravens practice in Florida

After missing many OTAs, Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson seems eager to make up for lost time.

Currently, Jackson is back in the building as the Ravens complete a mandatory minicamp this week. Once that's over, Jackson has a unique plan to get some more practice in with his teammates before training camp begins in late July.

I'd love to do that, but some guys don't want to leave their state. They have to come to South Florida,” Jackson told reporters Wednesday. “They have to do it. We have to do it. We want to get to the Super Bowl, and to do that, we have to grind through. We have to build good chemistry.”

Jackson may have studied at Louisville and become an NFL superstar in Baltimore, but he's still a legend in South Florida. The Pompano Beach native became a high school football sensation over a decade ago, and his career at Boynton Beach Community High School is still fondly remembered.

Although he has it in mind for the future, Jackson already seems to be ahead of the game with his plans.

Footage recently surfaced of the two-time MVP quarterback running drills in the Sunshine State with Ravens receivers Zay Flowers and Nelson Agholor, both of whom are also from Florida. Fellow quarterback Rashod Bateman has also said he would like to join at some point. Running back Derrick Henry is also from Florida, so Jackson's idea could be a homecoming of sorts for some of the Ravens' best offensive players.

Jackson believes his chemistry with Flowers has already improved after just one session, and that's after a great rookie season for the wide receiver.

“I can't really describe our chemistry – I think it's great, I can say that. It's better than last year. Just being with him in Florida, running every route on the route tree and just trying to build. It's working out for us.”
