Severe weather is possible again in North Texas overnight from Wednesday to Thursday

NORTH TEXAS – Heads up! There are weather warnings tonight and Thursday.

We don't expect a bankruptcy this Wednesday. Scattered showers and storms could occur. Otherwise, we'll see a mix of sun, clouds and highs in the mid-80s.

Then later tonight, a line of showers and storms will move through North Texas ahead of a cold front. These storms could cause large hail, gusty winds, heavy rain and flooding.

In fact, a flood warning is in effect for portions of North Texas from tonight through Thursday afternoon, generally for our counties along and south of I-20. The Metroplex is currently not included in this watch. In some areas, between five and ten centimeters of rain could fall.

An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out either.

There will be storms on the way to work early Thursday. Again, some can be severe to severe. The risk of severe weather will subside by mid-morning. However, the risk of storms will increase again on Thursday night and some storms could produce heavy rain, gusty winds and hail again. High temperatures will be in the low 80s.

Isolated storms are possible on Friday. However, this weekend our storm chances will increase.

We don't expect any slip-ups over the weekend. However, be prepared for a few isolated showers and storms as a front lies over our area.

The best chances for storms and heavy rain are on the night from Saturday to Sunday. The chance of rain on Saturday is 30-40%, then up to 60% on Sunday. Highs this weekend will be in the low 80s.
