Magic PG Markelle Fultz misses out on teammate of the year award

ORLANDO – Orlando Magic point guard Markelle Fultz is being hailed by the league as one of 12 finalists for the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award. Ultimately, however, he was unable to take home the win.

Instead, Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Mike Conley won the award, receiving 51 first-place votes from across the league. Fultz finished 12th in the voting with only 13 first-place finishers.

Fultz has struggled with injuries throughout his career, including this season, but his teammates have always been someone they look to for advice.

Fultz is a free agent at the end of the season and deciding whether to bring him back will be a difficult decision. While he may not be worth what he brings on the court, the Magic will have to decide if his value off the court is enough to bring him back to Orlando.
