Florida Softball seeks redemption vs. FSU tonight in Tallahassee – ESPN 98.1 FM

The No. 11 Florida softball team will prepare for an important SEC matchup this weekend while also seeking revenge against No. 12 Florida State tonight.

The Gators (39-12) were defeated 12-3 last Wednesday at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium, while the Seminoles (40-10) scored all of their runs in the fifth inning after trailing 2-0. It was FSU's biggest win against the Gators and the first time in the series that FSU dominated UF.

Tonight's return game at 7 p.m. in front of a sold-out stadium at JoAnne Graf Field in Tallahassee will be broadcast on the ACC Network, ESPN 98.1-FM/850-AM WRUF.

The Seminoles are looking for their seventh straight win against the Gators, who haven't won in Tallahassee since 2019.

Florida gets a series win in Georgia. Junior Reagan Walsh led the way and was named SEC Player of the Week after posting a .500 batting average (6-for-12) with four RBIs and two home runs in four games last week.

Florida closes out the regular season by hosting Texas A&M in a three-game series starting Friday at 7 p.m. (SEC Network+), then Saturday at 2 p.m. (SEC Network) and Sunday at 1 p.m :00 p.m. (ESPN2) begins.

At 14-7, the Gators are still in the race for the SEC regular-season title, trailing leaders Tennessee (16-5) and Texas A&M (15-6). The Vols finish at home against Kentucky (8-13).

UF will play in the SEC Tournament, which begins Tuesday in Auburn, Alabama.
