Start time, TV channel is set for Game 6 between Magic-Cavs

If the Magic want to extend their season and force a Game 7 against the Cavs, Jamahl Mosley's team will have to find a way to defend home court at the Kia Center later this week.

Orlando now knows when it will start Friday night against Cleveland in a must-win Game 6 after No. 1 Boston eliminated No. 8 Miami on Wednesday.

Game 6 between the No. 5 Magic and No. 4 Cavs begins Friday at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. The contest will also be televised locally on Bally Sports Florida.

Should Orlando avoid elimination and finish the series 3-3, Game 7 would take place at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Sunday at 1 p.m. It airs exclusively on ABC.

Before a possible seventh game, however, the Magic have homework to worry about as they trail Cleveland 3-2 in the first round. The winner will face the Celtics in the conference semifinals.

Lacking playoff experience, the Magic are confident heading into elimination against the Cavs

“Go home and take care of your home,” Mosley said after Tuesday’s Game 5 loss in Cleveland. “It only becomes a series when the home team loses.

“They have done a great job protecting the home field and we have to remember that the little things and details of these games are important.”
