Former Arizona Football QB Jayden de Laura signs with XFL's San Antonio Brahmas

Former Arizona football quarterback Jayden de Laura is on the move again! After a fairly solid college career that was ultimately marred by his off-field issues, de Laura has found a new home again.

Amid the flurry of news in the transfer portal, it was announced that de Laura will be moving to the XFL, where he will play with the San Antonio Brahmas.

News of de Laura's commitment comes just months after he initially committed to Texas State before withdrawing due to some backlash.

Jayden was something of a journeyman football player, having initially committed to Washington State out of high school, where he quickly made a name for himself. The 2021 Pac-12 Offensive Freshman of the Year, de Laura threw for 3,684 yards, 28 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in just two seasons with the Cougars.

Jayden then switched destinations and arrived in Tucson in 2022, where he helped turn around a then 1-11 program by helping lead the Wildcats to a 5-7 record while throwing for 3,685 yards and 25 touchdowns Thrown 13 interceptions.

As Jayden entered 2023 with even higher hopes, his season quickly faltered as he was affected by some off-field legal issues. Additionally, de Laura struggled with injuries and inconsistent play before eventually being replaced by freshman sensation Noah Fifita, and we all saw how that played out.

In seven games in 2023, Jayden threw for a respectable 1,120 yards, 10 touchdowns and five interceptions, but with Fifita's rise to college stardom, it was clear that de Laura's time in Tucson was over.

Now de Laura is moving to professional football and wants to make a name for himself by joining the Brahmas.
