Motorcyclist dies in Gorham accident, witness wanted

Gorham police announced in a news release Wednesday that Nolan Irish, of Gorham, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at the intersection of Flaggy Meadow and Cressey streets on Tuesday, April 30, at 1:34 p.m.

Deputy Police Chief Michael Nault said Irish, 22, was driving a 2022 Kawasaki traveling west on Flaggy Meadow Road and collided with 21-year-old Lily Courtney of Biddeford at the intersection. Courtney was driving a 2019 Honda Civic and traveling north on Cressey Road.

Gorham Rescue examined Courtney at the scene, but she was not taken to a hospital, police said.

Police want to speak with a witness who was driving a white pickup truck in the area at the time of the crash, Nault said. The accident remains under investigation and is being reconstructed by the Windham Police Department.
