Michigan Lottery is offering area dogs on new lottery tickets

LANSING – The Michigan Lottery is turning to a group of four-legged friends to get people talking about their new game.

The lottery is introducing the Lucky Dog instant game on June 4, and each ticket includes a photo of a Michigan dog. Each $1 ticket offers players the chance to win prizes ranging from $1 to $5,000, with a total of more than $5.5 million in cash prizes.

“Working with players – and their lucky dogs – to make the Lucky Dog game a reality has been a great experience for everyone at the Michigan Lottery,” said Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli. “I recently met some of these wonderful puppies and their owners and seeing the reaction when they received a replica Lucky Dog ticket with their dog was priceless! I expect the game to be a huge hit with players when it releases on June 4th!”

Images of Lucky Dog tickets will be released on the lottery's social media channels in the coming weeks. The dogs selected on the tickets and their owners visited the Michigan Capitol on Wednesday to introduce the game.

Among the 30 dogs selected are several from the Hometown Life area: Benny, a Chihuahua from Westland, Charlie, a mini goldendoodle from Livonia, and Guinea, a French bulldog from Milford.
