Black Box Studios and The Elated System present Doom Dogs at Debonair Music Hall

(TEANECK, NJ) – Black Box Studios and The Elated System present Doom Dogs with opener Eels Of Love on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Debonair Music Hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the performance begins at 7:30 p.m. Doom Dogs is an improvisational trio with Reeves Gabrels on guitar, Jonathan Kane on drums and Jair-Rohm Parker Wells on bass.

With a collective background that includes collaborations with David Bowie, The Cure, Swans and more, Doom Dogs Create captivating original music that connects and transcends musical genres. Listeners hear elements of jazz, rock, ambient sound explorations and more – performed by world-class musicians who listen carefully and respond to each other in real time. No two performances are the same.

Reeves Gabrels is celebrated for his work with David Bowie and The Cure; He has also released six solo albums and two improvised guitar duo albums, one each with Bill Nelson and David Tronzo; Together with John Medeski he is also a frequent guest at Club D'Elf (Moroccan dub trance). Jonathan Kane's outstanding drumming was a driving force behind Swans, February and The Kane Brothers Blues Band, and his recording catalog includes outstanding solo releases. Jair-Rohm Parker Wells, an innovative and fearless electric and double bass player, is known for his contributions to the improvisation band Machine Gun and the world music band Embryo, to name just two of many fruitful collaborations. Currently, in addition to touring, the trio is working on an album of dynamic improvisations and unusual soundscapes, collaborating in the studio with respected sound engineer Robert Musso.

Tickets are $25 and available for purchase on-line. This is a show for all ages. Debonair Music Hall is located at 1409 Queen Anne Road in Teaneck, New Jersey.

The night begins with Eels of Love, an instrumental progressive rock/metal band from North New Jersey. Rich synthesizers, intrusive bass lines, dominant percussion and explosive guitar leads conjure up their sound.

Martell's Tiki Bar hosts fundraiser for Teddy B. (longtime member of The Sensational Soul Cruisers)

(POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ) – There will be a fundraiser for Eric Barney aka Teddy B. on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Martell's Tiki Bar with entertainment from The Motor City Revue, Carlton J. Smith, High in the Mid 80's give and MC Johnny Mac. The event runs from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and is open to ages 21 and older. If you can't attend the show but would like to help, there is also a GoFund campaign for Teddy B.
