Chadwick BaRoss recently announced that it has made a significant investment in its hydraulic hose manufacturing capabilities at its Concord, NH facility.

“We just completed the installation of a hydraulic hose assembly and manufacturing system about a month ago that significantly enhances our previous capabilities,” said Levi Wardner, general manager of the Concord, NH and Lancaster, NH offices.

“This customized hydraulic hose assembly system Volvo specific, but not exclusive to Volvo, gives us the ability to build Volvo hoses without actually having to have the damaged hoses and hydraulic fittings in our possession.

“Prior to this new system, we could convert most Volvo hydraulic hoses, but we had to physically have the hoses and fittings in our possession to bring them together,” he added. “Now all you have to do is call us with the part number and pick up your new hose later the same day, or we can deliver it to you at another Chadwick-BaRoss location. It is important to note that we still have the ability to manufacture hoses and fittings for all other equipment manufacturers, but we still need to have physical ownership of the part.”

The purchase and installation of this new system at the Chadwick-BaRoss facility in Concord, NH, provided the company with a second opportunity to improve its customer service elsewhere in New Hampshire. The Chadwick-BaRoss plant in Lancaster, NH did not previously have the capacity to manufacture hydraulic hoses and, in fact, it was difficult to repair and replace hydraulic hoses in the Lancaster, NH area. Therefore, the decision was made to relocate the existing hydraulic hose production system from the Concord, NH facility to the Lancaster, NH facility to better serve customers in this area.

“Once we have the Volvo part number, this new system tells us exactly what hose is needed, exactly what fitting is needed and at what angle the fitting needs to be placed,” Wardner said. “The entire process takes less than an hour. With this system we are also able to serve any Volvo customer anywhere in the Chadwick-BaRoss sales area. We can also supply other Volvo dealers who have contacted Volvo to obtain and have a hose assembly.” Surprisingly, in most cases purchasing the hoses from Chadwick-BaRoss is cheaper than purchasing them from the manufacturer.
