Magic SG Jalen Suggs reveals his mindset ahead of elimination game against Cavs

ORLANDO – Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs has a quiet confidence.

The confidence comes from trust in his craft, something he has built on every day since being drafted by the Magic three years ago. And this season he did it all in his healthiest season yet. But the preparation and culture the Magic have implemented since Suggs' draft – the same year Jamahl Mosley was hired as head coach – has given the third-year pro confidence heading into the biggest game of his career.

“I’m going to do it the same way I did the other games,” Suggs said. “I don't think there is any difference. I continue to have the confidence, joy and comfort with which I go into these games. If I understand this again, the work is done. Everything, all the preparation, the training, the training, going through difficult moments, learning moments, everything that went through. It's already happened and I'm just enjoying this moment of being fully present here.

Suggs has confidence in himself, his teammates, his coaches and his preparation. And that's why he and his teammates will be ready for the moment when Game 6 begins on Friday.

Game 6 is Friday at 7:00 p.m. ET at the Kia Center.
