A town in Massachusetts has been named one of the best weekend getaways in the US in 2024

If you're not planning a long or proper vacation this year, there's a town in Massachusetts that's perfect for a weekend getaway. Time Out released a list of the best weekend getaways in the US for 2024 and the beautiful town of Lenox in Berkshire County made the top 10 list. Here's an excerpt from Time Out's review of Lenox.

Thanks to Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the innovative local theater group Shakespeare & Company, culture enthusiasts have long been flocking to the city. Now, upscale accommodations like 33 Main and the recently renovated Cornell Inn offer a more luxurious mountain escape. (Those looking for true luxury should plan some time at Miraval Berkshires.) History lovers can arrange a tour of nearby architectural wonders like Ventfort Hall and The Mount, the former home of author Edith Wharton.

There is also something fantastic that Lenox offers for nature lovers

If you are a nature lover, you should check out the Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary. Over 1,000 acres allow you to hike through forests, meadows and wetlands, as well as along the slopes of Lenox Mountain. The hike can be as easy or as challenging as you like. There's also a good chance you'll encounter beaver activity, be it dams, caves, lodges, or the animal itself.

Will Lenox, Massachusetts be your next weekend getaway?

If you're planning a weekend getaway to Massachusetts, be sure to put Lenox on your list. The beautiful New England city can satisfy a variety of tastes and interests. You might like it so much that you want to stay longer, and that's okay. You deserve it. The full list can be found here.
