Watch Illinois police chase a stolen Hyundai

After seeing chase footage of Oak Brook, Illinois police chasing a stolen Hyundai Sonata, we believe all dashcam videos should use this Blues Brothers Soundtrack. The Great Lakes Chases YouTube channel used the film's famous music because the police removed the sound, but we don't even miss the radio chatter etc.

Watch Michigan State Police chase a Dodge Charger like a dog.

These Kia Boyz were originally spotted in Hinsdale, but they were driving so recklessly that police gave up the pursuit. It's a tactic that criminals have already talked about using strategically.

However, little did they know when they encountered the Oak Brook Police Department that this department was trained and prepared to take them down quickly. We assume the audio was removed because the department doesn't want criminals to learn their tactics.

We know criminals are watching these videos and trying to learn how to better escape from the police.

Our advice to criminals in Chicagoland: Stay away from Oak Brook; These cops are hardcore.

When our chase car comes across the stolen Hyundai, the suspect has passed out and is trying to leave. This doesn't work at all, but the guy leaves the light off, perhaps believing it will work.

The police officer runs behind as our suspect speeds down a main street. But he decides to take a winding side road where there is little light and the curves can obscure movement. However, the officer manages to significantly reduce the Hyundai's lead as soon as it turns onto another side road.

This is where excellent pursuit training is important. It also helps that drivers stop in front of the police car because it has lights and sirens, something we don't see everywhere.

The further the chase extends into the business district, the greater the risk that innocent bystanders will be injured or worse. You can see the officer backing off a bit and adjusting to the conditions. Since he is well trained, he knows that he can reduce the lead again if his environment is not full of unnecessary risks.

In fact, the officer hits the road after it widens and closes the gap in an instant. And the officer just stays on the Hyundai and doesn't let him drive off again. Maybe the driver realizes it's over and eventually stops, and several kids inside turn themselves in to the police.

This is a different type of pursuit than the Arkansas State Police of Georgia State Patrol, but it is certainly effective.
