PHOTOS: Scenes from the semifinals of the North Dakota Class B baseball and softball championships – InForum

JAMESTOWN, ND — Starting pitcher Whitney Mitchell helped Central Cass to a 4-3 win over Beulah at Lyle “Trapper” Field on Friday.

Mitchell allowed three runs on five hits with twelve strikeouts and one walk against the Miners to secure the win. First Baseman Bradey Boss had one hit and two RBIs for the Squirrels. Senior Shortstop Grace Fletshock added a hit and an RBI.

Central Cass has advanced to the state championship game, which is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 1. The Squirrels have won six state championships to date.

Kindred-Richland and Velva-Drake-Anamoose play in the second softball semifinal.

In the semifinals of baseball class B, top-ranked Thompson beat New Rockford-Sheyenne 6-0. Starting Pitcher Drew Odenbach threw a three-hit shutout with eight strikeouts and four walks for the Tommies. Thomas Schumacher And Brayden Wolfgram added two hits and two RBIs each.

Central Cass and Grafton play in the second semi-final.

Thompson will play in the state championship game, scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m.
