Dry, hot and sunny weather for the weekend and the coming week | Local weather in Montana

Montana – Above-average temperatures were combined with plenty of sunshine across the state today. In the east, heavy thunderstorms ended overnight, and Glendive saw persistent rain showers this afternoon.

Dry weather will keep our radar very quiet this evening and for the rest of the weekend. There were minimal wind gusts today, with the windiest being in Kalispell and Livingston, where gusts reached about 30 mph.

Our satellite radar for the future forecast shows a dry weekend and dry start to the week, with a slight chance of rain in the eastern Plains around dinnertime tomorrow. Gusty winds up to 40 mph are forecast for tomorrow night into Monday morning.

The windiest areas include Great Falls, Havre, Jordan and Miles City. Lows tonight are expected to be warmer than last night, with temperatures in most areas in the 50s to 60s F (10 to 15 degrees C). Highs reached about 10 degrees above average today, and those hot conditions are expected to be surpassed tomorrow.

Temperatures are expected to exceed 90 degrees in many areas. Billings will see the heat at its highest, and could reach 90 degrees. Make sure your pets stay hydrated and in the shade outside!
