Eva Lovene Leavell of Carmi, Illinois, died Friday, June 21, 2024, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital, Evansville, Indiana.

She was born on December 31, 1932, in the Saline Mines area south of Shawneetown, Illinois, to the late Albert and Edith (Scroggins) Stanley. She was married to Daniel R. Leavell for 56 years before his passing in 2007.

She had a successful and enjoyable career as a self-employed person. Lovene founded and operated the L&L Supply Company for over 25 years. She was a devoted mother to her three children.

Surviving are her son Russ of Amarillo, Texas, her son Greg of Robinson, Illinois, and her son Stan of Carmi, Illinois. Five granddaughters: Jennifer, Danielle (and her mother Teresa), Nicole (and her mother Kim), Jailyn (whose beautiful mother Sonya recently passed away), and Michelle (and her mother Chris).

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at her residence at 300 South Walnut Street, Carmi, Illinois. Funeral services will be held on June 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at White County Memorial Gardens, Carmi, Illinois.
