More human remains found in residential area

The Anderson County Coroner's Office released new information Monday after skeletal remains were found near a residential area. Emergency crews searched an area for human remains in the Graylyn Subdivision in Anderson, South Carolina, which is off Concord Road near Highway 28, on Sunday. Someone walking in a wooded area in the development on Saturday found several bones and brought them to the Goodwill Thrift Store, then notified the Anderson Police Department and the coroner's office. Police said the bones were left in a cardboard box next to the outside dumpster before the person who left them there was identified. Police said there were seven bones in the box, and two of them were later identified as animal bones. While searching the area, several more bones and items were found that will assist in the investigation, officials said. According to police, the bones were left in a box next to the outside drop box before the person who left them there could be identified.
