The name of a Greenville, South Carolina, motorist who died in a crash near I-385 in the early morning hours was released by the coroner's office Thursday. The call came in just after 6:15 a.m. and was in reference to a single-vehicle crash on the I-385 frontage road, near the Patewood Drive overpass. That's south of Orchard Park Drive and near St. Francis Eastside Hospital. Greenville County Deputy Coroner Kristy Strange said Edward Montague Trotten, 67, of Greenville died at the scene of the crash. She said an external examination will be conducted later Thursday to determine the cause and manner of death.
