FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Indiana Democratic Party needs a new representative for District 42 by July 1.

The nomination was originally won by Chad Harmon, but he had to withdraw due to a health situation. INDEMS 8 chairman Dave Crooks says that those interested must live in District 42 and be in good standing with the party.

“I think people underestimate the value of what they have when it comes to what they bring to the table and their life experiences,” Crooks said. “For example, let’s say there’s a retired school teacher out there that’s looking for something to do. Being a state legislature is a natural fit because you get to share your professional experience, and then you help bring that experience to the table.”

Anyone interested in applying for candidacy can contact Dave on social media or via email at [email protected].
