ODELL!!! 4-star DT Myron Charles has decided to play for Florida State

The Florida State football team had many highly-hyped official visitors on campus in Tallahassee this past weekend. The Seminoles fan base was slightly irritated by the lack of commitments, largely because the program had just finished the 2023 season with an undefeated regular season and a conference championship.

That should have been enough to jumpstart the recruiting campaign, but people saw archrivals like Miami and Florida continue to add one new player after another while the Seminoles remained quiet.

However, after that official visit weekend, everything seemed to change when four-star defensive tackle Kevin Wynn and four-star wide receiver CJ Wiley announced their intentions to commit to Florida State.

Just when everyone thought things couldn't get any better, four-star defensive tackle Myron Charles from Port Charlotte, Florida, announced his commitment to the Seminoles.

The Texas Longhorns have once again launched an attack on a Florida State target, but in the end, the Seminoles won the battle. The Longhorns were heavily involved in the signing of Javion Hilson, a four-star defensive end, before he decided to stop his recruitment at Florida State.

The Port Charlotte, Florida native officially visited Florida State last weekend and has been familiar with the program for quite some time.

Overall, it's great to see the Seminoles continue to recruit talent they value highly. I'm glad defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins was able to make this recruiting move with Charles. Haggins has been with the Seminoles for over 30 years and was a former player on the college team.

Don't worry, no matter how old Odell Haggins is today, he will always have a special place in the hearts of Seminole fans. Now that he's gotten a class commitment from Charles, he's probably somewhere gambling away his life. Well deserved, Coach Haggins!
