Updates released for the latest Montana election fundraising numbers for June 2024 | Montana Politics

The most recent campaign fundraising reports were filed on June 15, and now NonStop Local is releasing the numbers for local campaigns in Montana.


Governor of the State of Montana







starting with the gubernatorial campaign. Governor Greg Gianforte has raised $2.2 million so far. He has spent $1.3 million of that, leaving about $870,000 left.

Democratic challenger Ryan Busse has raised $1.6 million and spent about as much as the governor, but he is left with less than half as much money as Gianforte, with Busse having about $300,000 on hand.

State Supreme Court Chief Justice Election Statistics – June 2024

In the race for Supreme Court Chief Justice, Jeremiah Lynch has raised $22,000 more than his opponent Cory Swanson. Lynch has raised a total of $126,000, while Swanson has raised $94,000.

State Supreme Court Associate Justice Donation Numbers – June 2024

Then we take a look at the race for the Associate Justice seat, where Katherine Bidegaray raised $62,000 more than her opponent Dan Wilson.

Bidegaray raised $125,000 and Dan Wilson raised $90,000.

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Race Fundraising Numbers – June 2024

In the race for Superintendent of Public Instruction, Democratic candidate Shannon O'Brien actually raised the most money of any Democratic candidate: $287,000.

In comparison, Susie Hedalen has raised $153,000. That's a pretty stark contrast, but it definitely shows that O'Brien is capable of raising money.
