TRENTON — Five years go by quickly.

Art All Night has a new venue, but the core of the event is still the same as the last time they held an in-person event five years ago.

It's all about art.

Art of all kinds was exhibited, created live, discussed in panel discussions, taught in courses and sold to happy collectors.

This year's event will be held at the War Memorial Theater in downtown Trenton, and some of the local restaurants and bars, located a short walk away, will be open on the weekend to provide a better experience for attendees.

Artworks executive director Craig Shofed said the organization hopes to make this location the event's permanent home and each year will figure out how to best utilize the venue to grow.

Donations and merchandise sales benefit Artworks Trenton, which hosts the event and curates the art on display.

When the doors opened on Saturday afternoon, several dozen people were already lined up for the event to begin, and a steady stream of art lovers was streaming in.

The last in-person event was held in 2019 at Roebling Wire Works, then the event was held virtually due to the two-year pandemic. Last year's event did not take place, organizers were initially excited to open the doors to a new venue and a revived Art All Night.

The event is free and open to the public until midnight today.

Doors open at 6am on Sunday with a full programme of master classes and film screenings.
