For example, Annie Potts — who felt the show's cancellation to the press was foolish — told Variety in 2018 that finding a balance between model professionalism and genuinely enjoying her make-believe grandchildren was crucial on the set of Young Sheldon. “All three of these kids are very naturally sweet. I can't remember if I've ever been on a set before where someone told me how much someone loved me so many times in one day. I can't believe they're paying me to do this!” she explained at the time.
