“You really are far from home, aren’t you?” Purdie Distr. has released the official US trailer for an indie drama titled Tokyo Cowboyby the filmmaker Marc Marriott his debut as a feature film director. The film premiered last year at the 2023 Tallgrass Film Festival, where it won Best Feature, and also screened at the Boston, Sedona, Newport Beach and Heartland film festivals. A Japanese businessman unwittingly embarks on a journey of self-discovery when he takes a business trip from Tokyo to a cattle ranch in Montana. When his Hardee's burger-loving Japanese Wagyu beef expert lets him down, he's on the verge of failing spectacularly unless he can solve his own problems. “Now unsettled and off the grid in a foreign culture, Hideki recalibrates his values ​​and his life goals. Director Marc Marriott and cinematographer Oscar Ignacio Jiménez create a Big Sky setting that could set any of us in need of self-discovery on the right path.” Cast Arata Iura as Hideki, with Ayako Fujitani, Goya Robles, Robin Weigertand Jun Kunimura.
