North Texas SC defeats Real Monarchs 2-1

Herriman, Utah (June 30, 2024) – North Texas SC (8-1-5, 33 points) earned its fifth road win of the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season after defeating Real Monarchs (4-9-1, 14 points) 2-1 at Zions Bank Stadium. Second-half goals from Enes Sali and Isaiah Parker sealed the comeback victory for North Texas.

FIRST VICTORY IN THE GARBINI ERA
Interim coach Michel Garbini earned his first win since being named interim coach on June 11. Garbini made his debut as North Texas SC's interim coach on June 22 in North Texas' 3-3 draw with Austin FC II.

Heat in North Texas
With today's 2-1 away win against Real Monarchs, North Texas SC has snapped a six-game unbeaten streak (5-0-1). The team has scored 16 goals and conceded just six in the last six games since the winning streak began.

THREE IN A ROW
Striker Enes Sali scored his fifth goal of the season with a penalty in the 63rd minute. Sali is the first North Texas SC player to score in three consecutive matches this season. Two of the three goals scored came away from home.

Parker flies down the wing
FC Dallas 2022 SuperDraft pick Isaiah Parker scored his first goal of the 2024 season. Parker's last goal for North Texas was on September 3, 2022 against MNUFC2 in a 2-1 win. He was the eighth different goalscorer for North Texas SC this season.

JUNE RECORD
North Texas SC finished the month of June undefeated with a record of 3-0-1. The three wins came on the road and the tie at home. North Texas holds an all-time record of 11-5-4 in June games since 2019.

North Texas SC hosts MNUFC2 on Wednesday, July 3 at Choctaw Stadium. The game kicks off at 7:45 p.m. CT and can be watched on Apple TV with the MLS Season Pass.
