Former Montana star Josh Bannan joins LA Clippers for NBA Summer League | Montana Grizzlies

Former Montana national basketball player Josh Bannan will get his NBA chance with the Los Angeles Clippers this summer.

On Saturday, Bannan signed with the Clippers and will join the team for NBA Summer League games.

After starting his career with the Montana Grizzlies, Bannan began his professional career in Australia with the Brisbane Bullets. In his rookie season with the Bullets, Bannan started 19 games and averaged 11.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. According to the Bullets, his best game was a career-high 29 points on 12-of-24 shooting in the final game of the NBL24 season.

Bannan also represented Australia during the Asia Cup qualifiers in February and trained with several teams this spring in the lead-up to the NBA Draft.

While playing for the Grizzlies, Bannan was named to the All-Big Sky Conference first team as a junior in 2022-23 after averaging 15 points and 8.5 rebounds per game on 50% shooting from the field. He decided to forgo his remaining eligibility and turn pro after this season.

The NBA Summer League begins in July with games in Sacramento, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City.
