Central Florida’s Most Beautiful Main Streets 2024 – Spotlight On Mills 50

The intersection of Mills Avenue and State Road 50, also known as Colonial Drive.

One of Orlando's oldest neighborhoods, just a mile northeast of Downtown Orlando, Mills 50 is known more than any other district in the city for its many bright and cheerful murals that pay homage to Orlando life. The name is derived from the main roads: Mills Avenue and State Road 50, also known as Colonial Drive.

Adjacent to Ivanhoe Village (both are Main Street America neighborhoods), Mills 50's numerous spas and salons allow you to relax as you please.

One of our favorites is the salt room, where Himalayan salt tiles provide relief for just about anything that ails you – stress, respiratory and skin conditions, and poor sleep quality. Just lie down, breathe deeply, and enjoy the soothing effects. Massages, acupuncture, and skin care are also available.

The cultural cornerstone of Mills 50 is its active Asian community. The neighborhood is home to many Asian markets and restaurants offering Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean and Vietnamese cuisine. Their commitment to the area and consistent presence have helped enrich and sustain the neighborhood's locally owned, culturally diverse business community.

The numerous restaurants in the district recommended by Bib Gourmand and the Michelin Guide include Z Asian Vietnamese cuisine, Asian street food from Hawkers, Tori, Tori, King Bao And EDOBOYIn fact, Mills has 50 more Michelin-starred restaurants than any other county or city in Central Florida.
