Trenton continues to make progress on its construction and demolition projects, according to Trenton Building Inspector Wes Barone's latest report. The report, presented to City Council on June 24, 2024, describes ongoing developments at various locations in the city.

At North Central Missouri College's student center on Main Street, wall forms for the lower floors were installed last week in preparation for pouring the basement walls.

Construction is progressing on the State Farm Insurance building and agent Dillon Harp's office, also on Main Street. Foundations, walls and basement floor have been poured, and framing is currently underway.

Interior work on the new Animal Kingdom veterinary clinic in Kerfoot is progressing.

The architect has redesigned the floor plans for the upcoming Taco Bell building, which will be located on the corner of 9th and Oklahoma.

For Preferred Family Health Care, the building was scaled down and the architect is creating new drawings.

The Dollar General Market opened and a privacy fence was erected between the store and neighboring businesses.

Perkins Dozing is working on the Wesley United Methodist Church site, where the interior walls of the basement were excavated in preparation for fill. Once that work is complete, Perkins will begin demolition of the fire-damaged home at 718 West Crowder. Demolition will then continue at 601 East 2nd Street. The fire-damaged home at 1012 Laclede has been cleaned up and leveling of the site has been completed by Jarred Lamma Construction.

Five building permits were recently issued, bringing the total to 25 since the beginning of the year. In addition, 23 rental inspections have been conducted since May 10.
