Devos family supports 28,000 square meter facility in Orlando

Orlando, Florida – The owners of Orlando’s newest pickleball concept promise players will keep coming back – and not just for the game.

This facility, Hamlin House, is currently under construction at 231 West Grant St. in SODO.

The 30,000-square-foot facility is co-owned by Ryan and Michelle DeVos, who also own Orlando Squeeze, a Major League Pickleball club.

There will be a total of seven pickleball courts, three indoors and four outdoors, but the facility is not just focused on pickleball.

Hamlin House is described as a community social gathering place offering fine dining, cocktails, coffee and pickleball under one roof.

“What we've seen in pickleball is an unparalleled social experience within the sport,” said Michelle DeVos, co-owner of Hamlin House. “We hope Hamlin House supports an active, social lifestyle for groups ranging from friends and family to seasoned pickleball professionals who come together to share the community and excitement of the game.”

While Orlando Squeeze's headquarters won't be located at Hamlin House, it will have a large presence there, and the team will partner with the facility for things like community events and classes.

“When we conceived this concept, our first goal was to create an experience that uniquely reflects this community and an upscale destination where people feel like they truly belong,” said co-owner Ryan DeVos. “We're excited to explore partnership opportunities with the Squeeze, of course, but also with the many people, nonprofits and businesses that lead our community in such a conscious way.”

There will also be space for private events and space rental.

The facility is scheduled to open in early 2025. Click here to learn more.
