Setting off fireworks on BLM land is prohibited, the sheriff's office said. However, the Ada County Board of Commissioners banned the setting off of fireworks in unincorporated areas earlier this month. The ban applies outside the city limits of Boise, Eagle, Garden City, Kuna, Meridian and Star.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office said violations of the fireworks ban could result in misdemeanors. Click here for more information and an interactive map of the ban.
