Bob's Stores confirms store closures, including all 10 Connecticut locations – NBC Connecticut

On Monday, the parent company of Bob's Stores announced that all Bob's locations would be closed and all inventory liquidated.

The announcement follows the filing of Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July.

The retailer began layoffs in late May and announced the first round of store closures in early June.

This announcement affected Bob's locations in Southington and Hamden, Connecticut.

Today, a longer list of locations in New England was announced as the company announced it would “close all of its Bob's locations and liquidate all inventory.”

The list of stores includes the following locations:

According to the announcement, “Bob's Stores was unable to secure the funding necessary to continue operations.”

The shop's website is currently under construction. A note states that an online shopping option will be offered in the future.

The company says gift cards and merchandise credits will remain valid until close of business on July 14, 2024.

Currently, all stores that are still open are having clearance sales, with the last day of operation set to be July 14.
