New Hampshire police pursue stolen car driven by 14-year-old

A 14-year-old Manchester girl faces several criminal charges after leading police on a chase in a stolen car. Police said they stopped the vehicle around 2:30 a.m. Saturday for speeding through Rindge, New Hampshire. According to police, four passengers jumped out of the car and fled while the girl and one remaining passenger drove away, after which officers began a two-mile chase before the teen's vehicle crashed into some trees on Perkins Road. Police said the driver and passenger suffered minor injuries. The car was reported stolen in Manchester, police said. The driver faces charges including receiving stolen goods, driving without a valid license, disobeying an officer, resisting arrest and reckless driving. Both minors were later released into the custody of their parents.

A 14-year-old girl from Manchester is facing multiple criminal charges after she led police on a chase in a stolen car.

Police said they stopped the vehicle around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning because it was traveling at a high rate of speed through Rindge, New Hampshire.

According to police, four passengers jumped out and fled while the girl and one remaining passenger drove away. Officers then embarked on a two-mile chase until the teens' vehicle crashed into some trees on Perkins Road.

According to police, the driver and passenger suffered minor injuries.

The car was reported stolen in Manchester, police said.

The driver is accused of, among other things, receiving stolen goods, driving without a valid driver's license, disobeying an official, resisting state authority and reckless driving of a motor vehicle.

Both minors were later released into the custody of their parents.
