CHEROKEE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Charlotte Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced that they are investigating following a deadly officer-involved shooting in Cherokee, North Carolina.

FBI officials said the incident happened on July 1 and involved the Cherokee Police Department. According to officials, a suspect passed away following the shooting.

Officials didn’t release any other information about the situation or the suspect.
