(WKBN) – The latest numbers released by Bet Ohio show that more money was wagered online in Ohio this May than last May.

This year, $595 million was wagered, compared to $430 million last May. That’s an increase of 38%.

For some perspective, $1 billion was wagered in January 2023, the first month sports betting was legal in Ohio.

Last November, during the peak of football season, $841 million was wagered.
