2 cities in New Jersey are among the best coastal cities in America

Honestly, I'm surprised that only two New Jersey cities made the list of “best coastal cities” in America. Considering that New Jersey is a coastal state and we have numerous “beautiful” cities along the Atlantic, I'm surprised more cities aren't on the list. From Jersey City down to Cape May, think of all the cool cities that are located by the ocean. Congratulations to these two Garden State cities for making this prestigious list.

In a recent article by Love to explore, “Whether you're strolling along a river, taking a break at a cafe on a beachfront boulevard, or having fun on a pier, waterfronts can be one of the best ways to escape the hustle and bustle of a city. From tranquil parks to exciting waterfront attractions, we're bringing you the best cities with waterfronts in the United States.”

Atlantic City

The first of the two “best waterfront cities” is the gambling capital of the East Coast, Atlantic City. Atlantic City is a combination of “gambling” and “boardwalk” in one. It’s Vegas on the beach. “Atlantic City's boardwalk dates back to the 1870s and continues to draw tourists today with its quaint shops, ocean views and a handful of casinos. Stay dry with a sunset stroll or enjoy beach activities like kayaking and surfing. If you're visiting with kids, there are plenty of family attractions too – the Steel Pier is sure to be a favorite.” I'm not a big gambler, but I enjoy walking the Atlantic City boardwalk, browsing the casinos, and eating out.

Wild Forest

The second “waterfront” city on the list of “best cities in America” is a fun beach town called Wildwood. Known for its boardwalk and beach, this town is a perfect vacation spot for families. “One experience not to be missed is the sprawling Morey's Piers. This beachfront amusement park stretches for six blocks and features more than 100 rides and attractions, as well as seasonal water parks. Established in 1969, it offers the perfect combination of classic seaside amusements and exciting, modern rides.”
