Transportation worker dies days after quadruple shooting in Trenton: campaign, prosecutor

Samier Vincent, 30, of Trenton, died Thursday, June 27 – four days after an early morning shooting in Trenton, according to the Mercer County District Attorney’s Office.

The 1:33 a.m. shooting near Walnut Avenue and Monmouth Street left four people injured, two of them in critical condition, according to a report from Peterson's breaking news from Trenton.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. The Mercer County Homicide Unit is investigating.

A GoFundMe A campaign was launched to raise money for “Buster’s” funeral.

Nyah Robinson is organizing the fundraiser.

“It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we mourn the untimely passing of Samier Vincent, known to many as Buster,” Robinson wrote.

“Buster has been a fighter throughout his life. He has overcome many obstacles, including a rare heart condition, and received a successful heart transplant that gave him a second chance at life,” she said.

He worked for the Mercer County Transportation Department and as a youth football coach, she said.
