NOW THE WGAL NEWS EIGHT STORM TEAM FORECAST WITH CHIEF METEOROLOGIST CHRISTINE FERREIRA. GOOD MORNING. LET ME SHOW YOU A LIVE PICTURE FROM HARRISBURG. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT. THIS MORNING. WE HAVE SOME CLOUDS PASSING BY RIGHT NOW. MOSTLY SUNNY. SO THAT'S THE FORECAST FOR THIS AFTERNOON. IT'S GOING TO BE A LITTLE WARMER AND A LITTLE HUMIDER THAN YESTERDAY. RIGHT NOW IT'S 69 DEGREES IN HARRISBURG. THE WINDS ARE COMING FROM THE SOUTH AT EIGHT. THIS SOUTHERN COMPONENT WILL CAUSE TEMPERATURES AND HUMIDITY TO RISE IN THE FUTURE. TODAY IT'S MOSTLY SUNNY ACCORDING TO OUR NEWS EIGHT STORM TEAM FORECAST, WITH SOME SPOILED SUNRISE. AND WE ALSO HAVE THE WARMTH OF 30 TO 32 DEGREES FOR TONIGHT. MOSTLY CLOUDY AND SPOTS OF SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS MAY COME THROUGH. TOMORROW WILL BE GAYER, WITH WARMER TEMPERATURES AT 21 DEGREES. A MIX OF CLOUDS AND SUNSHINE, SOME SPOTS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM TIME TO TIME. THERE COULD BE A FEW SHOWERS IN THE MORNING. THE EVENING IS A BETTER CHANCE, UNFORTUNATELY IN TIME FOR THE FIREWORKS. BUT MOST OF THEM SHOULD BE CURSED FOR THE TIME OF DAY BECAUSE OF THE HEATER FAULT. THAT'S THE GOOD NEWS. SO TOMORROW IT'S STILL WARM, TOMORROW EVEN WETTER. HERE'S THE ALMANAC. YESTERDAY'S HIGH WAS 85. RIGHT ON THE LEVEL OF THE AVERAGE. AVERAGE IS 86. RECORDS THREE DIGITS FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. AND IT'S STILL 1966. THE HOTTEST TIME WE'VE HAD GAVE US OUR ALL-TIME HIGH TODAY, 106. HERE'S YOUR CURRENT 60 DEGREES IN SELINSGROVE, 70. IN CARLISLE WE HAVE 63, IN LANCASTER. AT 70 IN GETTYSBURG, WE CALL IT SWIMMED. A LITTLE HAZIER TODAY AND TOMORROW, ESPECIALLY DUE TO THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY TEMPERATURES WILL BE ABOVE 30 GR, WITH DEW POINTS BELOW 21 GR. YES, YOU CAN REALLY FEEL THE HAZ, AND POLLEN LEVELS ARE LOW TODAY. OUR AIR QUALITY IS MODERATE. THE UV INDEX IS PRETTY HIGH. A BURN TIME OF ONLY 15 MINUTES. THE HIGH PRESSURE AREA WE'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT ALL WEEK IS PUSHING OFF THE COAST, PROVIDING BACKFLOW FROM THE SOUTH. YOU SEE A COLD FRONT HERE BUT IT'S NOT COMING TO COOL US OFF. IT'S STAYING NORTH, UNFORTUNATELY. SO WE'LL HAVE SUNSHINE TODAY. A BEAUTIFUL DAY THAT WILL GET A LITTLE SWEATIER TONIGHT. CLOUDS WILL INCREASE. YOU COULD SEE SOME RAIN AND TOMORROW THERE MAY BE A SPOKEN RAIN SHOWER IN THE MORNING OR AFTERNOON. THERE ARE LIKELY TO HAVE SOME TOWARDS THE EVENING AND JUST IN TIME FOR THE FIREWORKS. SO UNFORTUNATELY THEY WILL HAVE A BIT OF RAIN. THERE'S NO GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL RAIN TOMORROW, BUT THERE WILL BE SOME RAIN IN THE AREA. THE BORDER IS OVER US AND WILL LIFT NORTH AGAIN ON FRIDAY SO WE WILL NOT GET ANY RELIEF ON FRIDAY. THERE COULD BE SOME STORMS LATER IN THE DAY. LET'S TALK ABOUT TROPICS BARREL. THE NEW UPDATE JUST CAME OUT. THERE ARE WINDS OF 145 MPH. A CATEGORY 4 STORM IS NOW PASSING AROUND SOUTH OF JAMAICA. BUT THE WINDS WILL AFFECT THE ENTIRE ISLAND. SO TODAY YOU WILL BE BEATING BY WAVES ALL DAY. STORM SURGE AND STRONG, DEVASTATING WINDS. THE STORM WILL THEN MOVE TO THE SOUTH OF THE CAYMAN ISLANDS WHERE A HURRICANE WARNING IS IN EFFECT, MAKE LANDSHORE ON THE YUCATAN PENINSULA IN MEXICO AS A SECOND STORM, THEN MOVE INTO THE GULF OF MEXICO, MAY GAIN SOME STRENGTH AND SHORTEN TO A CATEGORY 1 STORM BEFORE MAKES LANDSHORE IN MEXICO FOR A SECOND THIS WEEKEND. HERE'S A LOOK AT OUR TEN DAY FORECAST. WE'LL HAVE 80S TODAY, TOMORROW, THEN A RANGE OF 90S. AS WE SAID, WE'RE IN FOR ANOTHER HEAT WAVE. LOW TEMPERATURES AT NIGHT WILL BE IN THE 70S, SO VERY LITTLE DIFFERENCE. A FOUR DEGREE DIFFERENCE IN HIGH TEMPERATURES OVER THE NEXT TEN
