Section of Route 32 closed due to paving work in Upper Bucks

UPPER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Route 32 has reopened after a week of repairs due to a road washout, but will remain closed for another week for paving work, PennDOT said.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said Route 32 (River Road) reopened Tuesday afternoon between Route 611 (Easton Road) and Bridgeton Hill Road in Nockamixon and Bridgeton communities following road repairs.

Route 32 (River Road) was closed on Wednesday, June 26, after a washout was discovered on the southbound lanes approximately one mile south of Narrows Hill Road.

PennDOT crews addressed the unstable soils, used flowable fill to stabilize the area, and paved the roadway.

Starting Wednesday, Route 32 (River Road) in the same area will be closed on weekdays for paving work.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Local access remains intact.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time near the construction area as congestion may occur.
