Princeton Street reopens after fatal crash in Orange County – WFTV

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Police say a man died early Wednesday morning after being hit by a car on Princeton Street.

According to investigators, the man entered the southbound lane and ended up directly in the path of an oncoming Ford Fusion.

According to FHP, the 63-year-old Orlando pedestrian was not in a marked crosswalk when it happened.

The driver of the Fusion, 42, of Orlando, was not injured and remained at the scene after the collision, FHP said.

The crash remains under investigation.

Police closed Princeton Street from Silver Star Road to Mercy Drive for several hours on Wednesday morning, but the section of road was later reopened.

Police are at the scene of a fatal accident in Orange County.

It happened around 4 a.m. at Princeton Street and Silver Star Road in Orlando.

At 6 a.m., a Channel 9 news crew near the accident scene reported that all lanes of Princeton Street between Mercy Drive and Silver Star Road were closed.

It is unclear how long the road closure will last.
