The sky before the 4th of July after the launch of Space X

The morning before Independence Day fireworks were set to flicker across South Carolina skies, early risers were treated to a celestial spectacle of a different kind Wednesday. WYFF News 4 viewers sent in videos and photos of bright objects streaking across the dark morning sky, wondering if they had seen meteors. You can view a slideshow of the photos here. As it turns out, Space X's Falcon 9 launched its latest batch of 20 Starlink internet satellites into orbit at 4:55 a.m. from Cape Canaveral, Florida. Among the satellites were 13 with direct-to-cell capabilities, Space X's website says. The company says this was the 16th flight of the first stage of this mission, which has previously launched SES-22, iSpace's HAKUTO-R MISSION 1, Amazon-6, CRS-27, Bandwagon-1 and now 11 Starlink missions. Space X's next launch is scheduled for Monday, July 8. A launch time has not yet been announced.

It turns out that Space X's Falcon 9 launched its latest batch of 20 Starlink internet satellites into orbit at 4:55 a.m. from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
