92-year-old Lansing man wins over $430,000 from Michigan lottery

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – A 92-year-old man is now over $430,000 richer after hitting the jackpot from the Michigan Lottery.

The Lansing man, who wishes to remain anonymous, bought his $434,105 winning ticket at a gas station on Migaldi Lane in Lansing on June 25.

“I had my eye on the Fast Cash game after seeing the jackpot was on the rise,” said the Lansing man. “I stopped into a store and said, ‘I’m going after that jackpot!’ I bought two tickets and didn’t win, so I stopped into a different store later that day and purchased two more tickets.”

“I won $50 on one, and on the other, I matched number ‘59′ with ‘Jackpot’ underneath,” said the Lansing man. “I knew what I was seeing, but I scanned the ticket to be sure. When a message came up to file a claim at the Lottery office, I knew that I’d really won the jackpot!”

He plans to share his winnings with his family.
