If you live in Idaho and get a blue postcard, throw it away immediately

Idaho is known for many things, including its wildlife and outdoor life, which is why hunting is one of the most popular outdoor activities in the Gem State.

Recently, however, Idaho Fish & Game began warning hunters in Idaho about a blue postcard in their mail.

“…They deeply regret that this has happened.”

Idaho Fish & Game said in a press release that “hunters who recently applied for big game hunting in 2024” may be disappointed by the blue postcard they receive in the mail.

Even more bizarre? Even people who are not registered for big game hunting are receiving these postcards. These postcards contain “false information that the hunter has drawn a tag (or tags) this year.”

These tags are normally worn by a hunter while hunting. He is supposed to attach these tags to the animal he has killed and enter the required information.

Idaho Fish & Game states that the error was caused by a third-party company prematurely mailing postcards without the consent or approval of Idaho Fish & Game.

“Idaho Fish and Game officials recognize that this error has caused confusion and disappointment among our hunters, and they deeply regret that it has occurred.”

Idaho Fish & Game assures hunters that the controlled hunting draw was “correctly conducted.” Fortunately, hunters can check their results online or by email and The is the correct information.

Idaho Fish & Game says they will send follow-up letters to hunters affected by the blue postcards that will contain the correct information.
