HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah, July 3, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The 419th Fighter Wing may be coming to the airspace above you.

On Thursday, July 4, the Fighter Wing from Hill Air Force Base will host its annual flyover event and will appear in 17 cities in north-central Utah as part of the celebration. The list is below.

“The 419th FB is comprised of nearly 1,200 individuals,” a press release about the event states. “These 'Citizen Airmen' serve part-time in the military but are full-time members of the local community. Most live, work and have families in Northern Utah.”

“Members of the 419th FW regularly volunteer to support contingency operations and humanitarian missions around the world. The 419th FW provides a broad range of combat capabilities including F-35 operations and maintenance, as well as comprehensive mission support such as civil engineering, security forces, medical support, air port, firefighting, supply and transportation. The 419th was the first Air Force Reserve unit to fly the F-35A Lightning II alongside the active 388th FW at Hill AFB.”
