Grandmother wins $5 million scratch-off prize

Delayed flights can be annoying, but one Pennsylvania woman couldn't be happier after detouring her flight to land in seventh heaven after winning the lottery.

Donna Osborne, a Lancaster County resident, had just finished radiation treatment for breast cancer when she decided to take a trip to Florida with her daughter, a Pennsylvania Lottery news release said.

“I was at the airport with my daughter. We were on our way to see family in Florida when the flight was delayed,” Osborne told lottery officials. “Well, it was delayed so many times that I decided to fly home.”

Osborne didn't know that her decision to stay in Pennsylvania would make her $5 million richer.
