Utah Swim and Dive ranks 16th on the CSCAA Scholar All-American Roster

SALT LAKE CITY Sixteen student-athletes from the University of Utah swimming and diving team were honored Wednesday when the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America released its annual list of Scholar All-Americans.

Among the 16 nominees were five First-Team All-American award winners, Emilia Nilsson Garip, Kathryn Grant, Holly Waxman, Elias Petersen And Jaek Horner all have received this recognition. First-Team All-American spots go to those with a GPA of 3.5 or higher who qualify for the NCAA Championships.

Utah’s second pick was Brandon Miller, Dylan Becker, Baylor Lewis, Landon Nava, Evan VanBrocklin And Tomas Chocholaty on the men’s side and Cameron Daniel, Erin Palmer, Norah Hay, Summer Stanfield And Sydney Kowalski from the women's team. Second team award winners must also have a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and achieved a “B” time standard for the national championship or competed in a diving zone qualifying event.

The total selection of 16 individuals is the most Utah has achieved since 16 student-athletes were selected in 2021.
