YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — While attempting to escape, a fleeing driver collided multiple times with a Pennsylvania State Police vehicle after both were surrounded in a parking lot in York County.

According to a criminal complaint filed by State Police in York, 33-year-old David Frederick of Maryland attempted to elude police when he turned into a dead-end street at the intersection of Salem Church Road and Lake Road in Springfield Township around 7 p.m.

According to police reports, Frederick drove a police officer's car into the front of the vehicle. He then drove forward, backed into the patrol car again and was able to escape.

However, it wasn't long before state police announced they could take him into custody.
