SUNRISE SUMMIT — On Saturday, July 29, Hampshire High School and the boys soccer team hosted their annual tournament, the FNB Bank Showcase. Despite the sweltering heat this past weekend, seven different teams from Hampshire competed to showcase their skills in the tournament. Among the seven teams in the tournament were Berkeley Springs, Calvary, Frankfort, Preston, Southern and two different teams from Hampshire. The Trojans were split into two different teams for the day as they were separated for the tournament's group matches. Hampshire 1 landed in Group A with Southern and Berkeley Springs while Hampshire 2 landed in Group B with Frankfort, Calvary and Preston.

Hampshire 2 opened the tournament against the Frankfort Falcons, but lost in nerve-wracking fashion as the Trojans' second team suffered a 1-0 defeat in the showcase. In the second game of the tournament, Hampshire 1 picked up a big win over Berkeley Springs in their group, crushing the Indians with an 8-0 victory to claim their first three points of the group stage.
