NYC and NJ road closures on July 4th – NBC New York

With the Macy's Fourth of July fireworks display taking place along the Hudson River for the first time in over a decade, there will be significant traffic changes not seen in some time on the west side of Manhattan and parts of New Jersey.

On the west side of the river, Hudson County has put up a helpful interactive map that shows the times when roads along and near the Hudson are closed, as well as the locations of the fireworks barges. Click here to view the interactive map.

Here's a look at what to look for in Manhattan, part of Brooklyn, and the waterfront spots in New Jersey where crowds are sure to gather: Hoboken, Weehawken, and Jersey City.
