A North Carolina man was arrested in Danville Tuesday and charged with multiple felonies following a road rage incident.

Around 4 p.m. on July 2, officers with the Danville Police Department responded to the 700 block of Halifax Road for a report of shots fired. A short while later, the department said a victim reported his vehicle had been shot into during a road rage incident.

Through information obtained at the scene, 28-year-old Marlowe Malik Cobbs, of Milton, North Carolina, was identified as the suspect. He was located in Caswell County, N.C. with the assistance of the county’s sheriff’s office.

Cobbs was extradited back to Virginia and is being held in the Danville City Jail without bond. He is facing multiple charges:

• Shooting from a vehicle
• Attempted aggravated malicious wounding
• Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
• Discharging a firearm in public
• Child endangerment
• Shooting at an occupied vehicle
