Trump overtakes Biden in two presidential polls in New Jersey

Trump leads Biden in New Jersey polls

Trenton, New Jersey – In a surprising development, former President Donald Trump has gained a narrow lead over President Joe Biden, according to two recent polls in New Jersey. A coefficient poll conducted on June 26 and 27 shows Trump ahead by 1%, at 41%, while Biden has 40%. In addition, according to a poll conducted by the GOP, Trump is ahead by 43%, ahead of Biden, who is at 41%.

This poll result is notable because no Republican presidential candidate has won New Jersey since 1988. The coefficient poll also shows that 13% of voters are undecided, while 7% have chosen another candidate. These numbers suggest a closely contested election in a state that traditionally leans more toward Democrats.

The Republican poll, which also reflects a close race, underscores the potential for a significant shift in voting patterns in New Jersey. Historically, the state has been a Democratic stronghold, but these polls suggest Trump's campaign is gaining ground among various voter groups.

Political analysts are closely watching these developments as both campaigns prepare for the upcoming party conventions. Trump is expected to win the Republican nomination at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee this month, while Biden will likely be nominated at the Democratic National Convention in August.

The changing dynamics in New Jersey's political landscape reflect broader national trends and could be a sign of a tougher fight for the 2024 presidential election than previously expected. The next presidential debate, scheduled for September, could further influence voter sentiment and solidify the position of both candidates.
